Our Winter Fair is taking place this Saturday (5th December) from 11am -1.30pm. As ever we’re looking for donations for the raffle (wine, chocolates etc), tombola stall, unwanted toys, books and clothes. Bring your donations to the office this week.
We also need lots of helpers to set up on Friday after school and on Saturday morning, to help on a stall, and to clear up after the fair. If you can help, leave your coontact details for Alice Burton at the school office, or e-mail alibean76@gmail.com.

For the first time, we’ll be having a PTA meeting straight after school, on Wednesday 11th November at 3.30pm. If the weather’s dry, we’ll put up the gazebo in the ‘quiet area’ near the park exit; if it’s wet, we’ll go to the library. Children are welcome. Among other things, we’ll be talking about the ideas you came up with at our last day of term cake-a-thon! Come along if you can.

Next Saturday, school will be open for Family Learning Day, when children and adults get to try out new things together. This is a national event, but Chorlton Park does it the Chorlton Park way, with workshops in playing the balalaika, string making, salsa dancing, samba drumming, animation, French and football! What’s not to love?! Sign up on the sheet that came home in your child’s bookbag or contact Meryl Blackburn in Year 4 for further information

Thanks to Gisele and all the helpers who made Friday’s booksale such a success. After that great start to the weekend, Saturday morning saw the playground full of cars teeming with booty and eager bargain hunters. Louise and David, thanks for your efforts – and thanks to Eva who kept everyone refreshed with tea and buns. There may be more car boots before the school year is over, so keep hold of your junk!
